Saturday April 19, 2008 10:00 AM-2:00 PM Contact: Deborah Hocking 532-9565 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance VITA is a nationwide nonprofit tax preparation program set up by the Internal Revenue Service and sponsored by the Community Action Commission “Money in Your Pocket” Campaign Advantages: •Save money and get great service from qualified preparers •IRS Certified Volunteers will work hard to make sure you get the credits you deserve (for example, Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit) •Returns are reviewed and e-filed so you get your returns FAST •A minimum level of Child Care will be provided for your children while your return is being prepared •All services provided are FREE! Items to bring when you come to have your taxes prepared: •Proof of Identification •Current Year’s Tax Package •Copy of 2006 Tax Return •Social Security Card for yourself, spouse & dependents •Birth Dates for yourself, spouse & dependents •Interest dividend statements from banks •Wage and Earnings Statement(s): W-2, W-2G, 1099-R from all employers •Bank Routing Number & Account Numbers for Direct Deposit •Total paid for day care and day care provider’s tax ID # Remember: If you are filing a joint tax return, both spouses must be present to sign the required forms Location: Coyle Free Library
